Grana Padano, 16 months, is the less expansive sibling of the King of Cheeses; Parmigiano-Reggiano. It is pairing the characteristics of table cheese and grating cheese and goes excellent on pasta.
Grana Padano has a circular and constant flow of taste, which brings out fairly savoury flavours and in turn stimulates salivation. After being consumed, Grana Padano at this ageing stage leaves a light, thin and characteristic coat of fat on the tongue.
This special kind should be enjoyed with young, fresh red wines, possibly rich in aromas and with notes that evoke the fragrance of the grapes from which they are made.
